Ten Questions with Jeremy Shane
Where are you from?
I was born and raised in Cape Girardeau, and I have lived in the area my whole life.
How long have you worked in radio?
I worked for River Radio from 2003 to 2013, then returned in 2018.
Who is your favorite country artist?
Ever had a brush with fame?
I once shared an elevator with Randy Owen. He didn’t recognize me.
What is your biggest pet peeve?
I don’t want to turn this into a gripe-fest, but I will say that acceleration lanes exist for a reason. Respect that.
Wife, two kids, dog. You know, the essentials.
Finish this sentence. On Sunday mornings, you can usually find me…
In the kitchen, making pancakes. Everyone knows Sundays are pancake days. Right?
What are you happiest doing, when you’re not working?
Man, I probably have too many hobbies. I can get a little obsessive tinkering in my home studio. My family and I love playing tabletop games — board games, card games, whatever. Oh, and I do like (???) to exercise, if only because it lets me catch up on music listening.
What would be your personal motto?
Be nice. Just like Patrick Swayze told the staff of the Double Deuce in Road House.
What’s the last thing you do before you get in front of the microphone?
Clear my throat and hope for the best.
